Position Overview
A&V Consulting LLC is seeking a qualified Independent State Sales Director to develop and expand the Florida market for advanced Japanese closed-fermentation manure processing systems manufactured by Kohshin Engineering (Japan).
This role supports the U.S. pilot phase of KNLL closed-fermentation systems designed to convert manure and poultry litter into NOP-compliant organic fertilizers.
This is a strategic, performance-driven position focused on connecting large-scale dairy, hog, and poultry operations with innovative manure stabilization technology.
This is a commission-based 1099 Independent Contractor role.
Legal & Eligibility Requirements
• U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
• Legally authorized to sign commercial agreements in the United States
• Valid Florida driver's license
• Reliable personal transportation
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the State of Florida
Education Requirement (Mandatory)
• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Industry, Agricultural Business, Agronomy, Animal Science, or a closely related agricultural discipline from an accredited U.S. university (required)
• MBA or advanced business degree (preferred)
Required Experience & Qualifications
• Hands-on experience selling agricultural or farm-related equipment, preferably capital or mechanical systems
• Direct work experience with dairy, hog, poultry, or manure management operations
• Practical understanding of manure handling, composting systems, and nutrient management challenges
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with farmers, agricultural business owners, ISU Extension personnel, and key decision-makers
• Ability to explain technical systems and biological processes in clear, producer-oriented language
• Proven ability to develop new territories, generate qualified leads, and build a structured sales pipeline
• Strong negotiation and deal-closing skills
• Willingness to contribute significant time toward territory development, especially during the pilot phase
• Strong analytical skills to review farm data, manure volumes, and ROI feasibility
• Solid technical aptitude and comfort working around mechanical systems
• Technician licenses or relevant technical certifications (preferred)
• High reliability, accountability, and self-motivation
Core Responsibilities
• Identify and engage large dairy, hog, and poultry operations
• Conduct direct farm outreach and relationship development
• Generate and qualify leads within the assigned territory
• Coordinate site visits and technical meetings
• Collect herd/flock data and manure characteristics for feasibility evaluation
• Participate in pilot installation coordination
• Maintain structured reporting and communication with A&V Consulting
• Represent A&V Consulting within Florida's agricultural community
Territory & Exclusivity
• This role is strictly limited to the State of Florida.
• This position does not grant exclusive territorial rights during the pilot project phase.
• A&V Consulting reserves the right to engage additional representatives, partners, subcontractors, or direct involvement within Iowa as necessary to support successful project execution.
• The Agent has no authority to represent A&V Consulting outside Florida unless expressly authorized in writing.
• Exclusivity, if any, may be considered after successful completion of the pilot phase and demonstrated performance, subject to a separate written agreement.
Compensation Structure
1. Commission-based compensation varies depending on product, configuration, and model.
2. For Kohshin in-house equipment (15% commission paid to A&V by manufacturer):
• State Sales Director receives 50% of A&V's received commission
• Commission applies only to sales opportunities materially developed, documented, and managed by the Agent
• Commission is payable only after:
o Customer has paid in full
o Installation and commissioning are completed
o A&V Consulting has received commission from the manufacturer
3. No commission is due for:
• Unreported leads
• Reassigned leads
• Inactive or abandoned opportunities
• Freight, packaging, insurance, or manufacturer technical assistance fees
4. This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position.
• The Agent is solely responsible for:
o All federal, state, and local taxes
o Insurance coverage
o Travel expenses
o Business expenses
o Liability coverage
Confidentiality
Execution of a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is required prior to the release of confidential technical, pricing, or commission information.
Term
Initial term: 12 months.
Automatic renewal unless terminated in writing by either party.

The Certified Technical Partner will be responsible for installation supervision, technical training, compliance documentation, maintenance coordination, and long-term service infrastructure development.
This role ensures manufacturer-compliant installation, operational integrity, intellectual property protection, and scalable service capability.
This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position.
Education Requirements
• Minimum: Associate degree in Engineering, Mechanical Technology, Agricultural Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or related technical discipline
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering (Mechanical, Agricultural, Industrial, or related field)
Certifications & Technical Qualifications
• Professional Engineer (PE) license (Preferred but not required)
• Mechanical, electrical, or industrial systems certifications (Preferred)
• OSHA safety certification (Required)
• Equipment installation or industrial commissioning experience (Required)
• Agricultural systems service experience (Preferred)
• Welding, electrical, or fabrication credentials (Preferred / Advantageous)

Implementation Framework – Florida
1) Technical Training & Knowledge Transfer
The designated technical lead will receive structured, hands-on training directly from Kohshin's Japanese engineers.
During the first pilot installation:
• Work side-by-side with Kohshin specialists
• Master technology operation, installation sequencing, and maintenance protocols
• Complete supervised installation training consistent with Kohshin's technical supervision commitment
• Independent installation authority may be granted only after successful completion of supervised training.
2) Technical Documentation & Intellectual Property Protection
All technical materials including:
• Engineering drawings
• System diagrams
• Operation manuals
• Maintenance guides
• Electrical and airflow schematics shall:
o Be provided strictly for operational use
o Be acknowledged upon receipt
o Be stored securely
o Remain confidential under Kohshin IP requirements
No duplication or redistribution is permitted.
3) Spare Parts Management
• Critical spare parts shall be pre-positioned per installation
• Inventory scaled proportionally as installed base increases
• Spare parts strategy aligned with service response standards
4) Maintenance & Service Model
• Pilot & Second Unit:
o Serviced under structured coordination with Kohshin engineers
o Reporting to A&V Consulting HQ
• Beginning with Third Unit:
o Maintenance may be provided under service agreements between A&V Consulting and equipment owners
o All work performed under Kohshin operational guidelines
Scope of Services
