Case Studies: Bridging the Japan–U.S. Liability Gap
1. Selected Engagements
At A&V CONSULTING, LLC, we help international technologies and complex projects succeed in the U.S. market by aligning business models, liability structures, and execution with U.S. legal and insurance reality.
----------------------
- "Bridging the Japan–U.S. Liability Gap"
U.S. Market Entry & Risk Structuring
Challenge
A Japanese manufacturer entering the U.S. sought to apply a partnership model involving shared responsibility with a local agent—an approach that is not insurable or workable under U.S. law.
Our Role
We redesigned the responsibility framework to align with U.S. legal and insurance standards while respecting Japanese partnership principles.
Outcome
A clear three-tier structure—product liability (manufacturer), operational liability (end user), and professional responsibility (agent)—enabled a fully insurable, compliant, and scalable pilot without damaging trust.
----------------------
2. Florida Manure Cluster Model
- "Operational & Commercial Structuring"
Challenge
U.S. farms face rising manure management costs, while contractors operate on thin margins.
Our Role
We developed a centralized cluster model using enclosed fermentation technology to convert manure into marketable organic fertilizer.
Outcome
Farms avoided new operational burden, processors gained a new revenue stream, and the model created a scalable platform for regional expansion and investor participation.
----------------------
How We Work
We focus on:
• Adapting international models to U.S. reality
• Structuring insurable, compliant partnerships
• Designing pilots that scale
"We don't just advise — we make projects work".
